The Irish Science on Stage Delegation was awarded an EIROforum Science Teaching Award for their outstanding presentation of "Teaching Science as a Process" at the European Science Teaching Festival in CERN, Geneva from 21-25 November 2005. The EFDA award was given in recognition of "teaching excellence, inspiration and motivation of young people in a contribution to the Science on Stage festival" and is aimed at providing a financial stimulus for making outstanding methods and material available to other European colleagues.

If the answer to any of these is YES then read on !
You might be one of the enthusiastic teachers we are looking for to travel with all expenses paid as part of the Irish delegation to a European extravaganza of Science teaching to be held in ESRF in Grenoble 2 - 6 April 2007. The purpose is to share all the best ideas about teaching science amongst European secondary school teachers. In addition, there will be a topic for each day of the festival, around which presentations, demonstrations and workshops will be themed. For the past events the Department of Education through the Second Level Support Service provided paid cover for the teachers to attend the festival that was sponsored by EIROforum.
